We all have that one song we can listen over and over again and never get bored of it – you know the one, no matter what mood you’re in or where you are, when it comes on you take a minute (or 3 minutes and 34 seconds) to just enjoy it. You might even have it on a loop. That song for me is Salvatore by Lana Del Rey. It is simply breathtaking. Something about it calms me down, and makes me fantasise about a beautiful life I am yet to experience. The lyrics are so smart and beautiful especially the constant use of colour to describe emotion, my favourite of which is ‘tangerine dreams’ the inspiration for this look (I know, you were wondering were this was going. There’s always a fashion angle peeps. Don’t worry.)
I enjoyed a lovely shopping day with one go my girls from college. It’s always lovely to have friends who no matter how long you’ve been apart, when you do catch up its like no time had passed & carry on right were you left off. I wanted to be comfy and casual(ish) so I paired this vibrant tiered ruffle dress with some gladiator style heels to toughen it up a little. My mum mentioned it looks like a Cameroonian Kaba (a similar style of dress worn in Cameroon but with with a print) which made me love it even more. I also tried out a new hair cut, adding a fringe to my wig. I wasn’t sure about it at first but its growing on me – not literally.
